So, now we're about to finish week eight of the 2017 NFL season; it's pretty much the half way mark of the regular season. Though we had A LOT of teams on bye this week, surely next week we can expect a better performance. Shoutout to the Texans vs Seahawks game because that was intriguing. The amount of energy in this young Clemson player Watson is unbelievable, and you'll notice the Texans rose even when they lost. Enough said, let's hop into the top eight.
st Rank: Philadelphia Eagles (--)
nd Rank: Pittsburgh Steelers (--)
rd Rank: Los Angeles Rams (--)
th Rank: New England Patriots (+1)
th Rank: Kansas City Chiefs (-1)
th Rank: New Orleans Saints (--)
th Rank: Seattle Seahawks (+1)
th Rank: Minnesota Vikings (-1)
As you can see, the top eight isn't as excited as it was when the Chiefs were number one. First, we see the Eagles perched at number one. Steelers get a win against Detroit, Rams on bye, Patriots rise one after beating a prominent Chargers offense, Chiefs fall after winning in a bad way, Saints stay at 6th with a win in Chicago, Seahawks rise after beating the Watson led Texans, and the Vikings move down after beating the Browns. Can't really move them up for THAT win. Let's head down to the 9th through 16th ranks.
th Rank: Jacksonville Jaguars (--)
th Rank: Dallas Cowboys (+1)
th Rank: Houston Texans (+3)
th Rank: Carolina Panthers (+3)
th Rank: Atlanta Falcons (+3)
th Rank: Buffalo Bills (+5)
th Rank: Baltimore Ravens (+5)
th Rank: Washington Redskins (-3)
Starting off the next eight teams in the rankings, we notice one thing: some CHANGE. The top eight wasn't looking too different, but we see some difference in these next eight. Jaguars were on bye week, Cowboys finish a win against Washington, Texans score FOUR touchdowns in a LOSS, Panthers win against Tampa Bay, Falcons beat the Jets, Bills rise after beating the Raiders, Ravens SHUTOUT the Dolphins, and the Redskins finish at 16th after losing to the Cowboys.

th Rank: Green Bay Packers (--)
th Rank: Detroit Lions (-8)
th Rank: Los Angeles Chargers (-7)
th Rank: Oakland Raiders (-2)
st Rank : Cincinnati Bengals (+4)
nd Rank: Denver Broncos (--)
rd Rank: Tennessee Titans (--)
th Rank: Miami Dolphins (-3)
Looking at the next eight in the rankings, we got some drastic movers. Packers were on bye week, Lions lost and relied on their KICKER to rack up points, Chargers lost after giving up a HILARIOUS safety to the Patriots, Raiders lose to Buffalo, Bengals get a close win against the Colts, the Broncos stay as is after losing to the Chiefs, the Titans were on bye, and the Miami Dolphins finish the list at 24 without scoring a single point in their week eight matchup. So much for a PLAYOFF run, let alone a SUPER BOWL one. That just can't happen if you wanna go to the playoffs.
th Rank: New York Jets (+1)
th Rank: Chicago Bears (-2)
th Rank: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (--)
th Rank: New York Giants (--)
th Rank: Arizona Cardinals (+1)
th Rank: San Francisco 49ers (--)
st Rank: Cleveland Browns (--)
nd Rank: Indianapolis Colts (--)
We don't see much change in these last few teams, and that's NOT good for any team in these last eight. Starting off, we moved the Jets one spot up after giving the Falcons a run for their money. Tampa Bay lost to Carolina, the Giants were on bye, the Cardinals were also but we had to move them up after 49ers lost horribly to the number one seed, and the final two teams: Cleveland and Indianapolis, cap the rankings at 31 and 32 after losing their matches.
Sigh. That was a lot. By now, you probably got a good idea about where your team stands by now, because were already half way into the season, as we've mentioned. If your team's in the last eight or in the twenties, you might wanna stay goodbye. Calculate your team's record if they win all their remaining games, and guess whether that'll win the division or make a wild-card. Any team before that mark is not in the playoffs. As simple as that. We don't mean to scare you off, no, no, no, we just wanna convey that the season half way done, and if your team isn't racking wins, they won't make the playoffs.
