Week One: Power Rankings

Every week, AnythingNFL's got our list of the power rankings for each team. These rankings are determined by their performance in the previous week. Don't worry if your favorite team isn't as high up as you want it to be, because we're sure your team will rise back up in a couple weeks! Let's go to the top eight teams of week one, and our explanation.

st Rank: Kansas City Chiefs

nd Rank: Jacksonville Jaguars

rd Rank: Detroit Lions

th Rank: New England Patriots

th Rank: Green Bay Packers

th Rank: Minnesota Vikings

th Rank: Carolina Panthers

th Rank: Los Angeles Rams

These eight teams are what you would call -- playoff teams. Now, we know it is only Week One, but these teams might have a shot at getting in. Surprisingly, half of these teams haven't been to the playoffs last year, so we're seeing some definite improvement. We're liking what we see from these guys. Now, let's head to the ninth through sixteenth ranks.

th Rank: Philadelphia Eagles

th Rank: Baltimore Ravens

th Rank: Pittsburgh Steelers

th Rank: Atlanta Falcons

th Rank: Dallas Cowboys

th Rank: Oakland Raiders

th Rank: Buffalo Bills

th Rank: Seattle Seahawks

These teams are pretty decent; not your worst of the worst teams, nor your Super Bowl champion teams. Actually, five of these teams made it to the playoffs, and all had at least seven wins in the regular season. So, while we are seeing a lot of improvement, could this be a chance where these teams are getting worse? We'll have to see as we continue. Now, let's move on to the seventeenth through twenty-fourth ranks.

th Rank: New Orleans Saints

th Rank: Tennesse Titans

th Rank: Houston Texans

th Rank: Washington Redskins

st Rank: Denver Broncos

nd Rank: Los Angeles Chargers

rd Rank: Arizona Cardinals

th Rank: Chicago Bears

These teams need some work; actually, a LOT of work. In fact, seven out of these eight teams lost in their week one matchup. And the highest score was a mere 21 points. We're surprised to see the Texans down here, as Watson supposedly was a stellar pick. However, he didn't play as well as we thought he would, so we placed the Texans pretty low. But, these teams have a chance to rise up. Now, we go to the bottom of the barrel -- the worst if you will.

th Rank: New York Giants

th Rank: Miami Dolphins

th Rank: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

th Rank: San Francisco 49ers

th Rank: Indianapolis Colts

th Rank: New York Jets

st Rank: Cleveland Browns

nd Rank: Cincinnati Bengals

Now . . . we have the twenty-fifth to thirty-second teams. You don't want your team to be here, nor does the head coach. Many people may say that the New York Giants didn't play THAT bad against the Cowboys, and we aren't too sure about that. They had 14 rushing yards, and Odell couldn't do ANYTHING in the air. However, we're definitely positive that the Giants will rise up, especially after the addition of New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

There you have it, our power rankings of Week One of the NFL season. As it just started, don't be worried if your team lost (especially Patriot fans) because we're sure that they'll come back to win at least ONE game. We're sure you'll be happy about that!
