Week Seven power rankings are in, folks. And, just glancing at the top eight to ten times, we can sort of formulate some MVPs right now. We've got some change, but SPOILER ALERT: Eagles stay number one. But, what makes this week so good is the THREE shutouts we witnessed. The teams in those games will move DRASTICALLY in the power rankings, and you'll see it. Let's head to the top eight.
st Rank: Philadelphia Eagles (--)
nd Rank: Pittsburgh Steelers (--)
rd Rank: Los Angeles Rams (+2)
th Rank: Kansas City Chiefs (-1)
th Rank: New England Patriots (-1)
th Rank: New Orleans Saints (--)
th Rank: Minnesota Vikings (--)
th Rank: Seattle Seahawks (--)
To begin, the top eight isn't changing too much. In fact, no teams from the top eight moved down to the 9th through 16th ranks. Eagles stay at number one, sweeping the Redskins, Steelers win, Rams shutout, Chiefs lose to the Raiders, Patriots underperforming, and Saints, Vikings, and Seahawks keeping their seeds. We couldn't move them up because they all won their matches, and the head-to-head games weren't there for these three teams. Let's move on to the 9th through 16th ranks.
th Rank: Jacksonville Jaguars (+6)
th Rank: Detroit Lions (--)
th Rank: Dallas Cowboys (+7)
th Rank: Los Angeles Chargers (+7)
th Rank: Washington Redskins (-2)
th Rank: Houston Texans (--)
th Rank: Carolina Panthers (-6)
th Rank: Atlanta Falcons (-4)
We've got some change over in this area. The Jaguars manage to shutout the Colts, the Lions were on bye, Dallas was able to ruthfully defeat rival 49ers, Chargers shutout the Broncos, the Redskins fall after a loss, Texans were on bye, the Panthers lost to the BEARS, and the Falcons lost to the Patriots for a SECOND TIME. So much for a Super Bowl 51 rematch. It wouldn't be one if New England dominated the WHOLE time. Let's head to the next eight in the rankings.
th Rank: Green Bay Packers (-4)
th Rank: Oakland Raiders (+12)
th Rank: Buffalo Bills (+2)
th Rank: Baltimore Ravens (-4)
st Rank: Miami Dolphins (+1)
nd Rank: Denver Broncos (-5)
rd Rank: Tennessee Titans (--)
th Rank: Chicago Bears (+4)

Here we go, let's start the next eight. The Packers lose as Brent Hundley starts his first career game. The Raiders rise up after beating rival Chiefs, the Bills manage to evade the Bucs, the Ravens lose to Minnesota, Dolphins move on spot in a victory, Denver gets SHUTOUT, Titans win a close one against the BROWNS, and the Bears cap it off at 24 with a stellar game against Carolina. Eddie Jackson with two 75+ defensive touchdowns makes him almost a rookie of a year sort of guy. Let's move on.
th Rank: Cincinnati Bengals (-5)
th Rank: New York Jets (-1)
th Rank: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1)
th Rank: New York Giants (-1)
th Rank: San Francisco 49ers (--)
th Rank: Arizona Cardinals (-6)
st Rank: Cleveland Browns (+1)
nd Rank: Indianapolis Colts (-1)
Capping off the last eight teams for the power rankings, the Bengals start it off after losing to the second seed division rival. The Jets also lose to a division rival, the New England Patriots. The Bucs lose against the Bills, Giants lose to Seattle, 49ers only get a field goal off of the Cowboys, Cardinals get SHUTOUT, Browns move up one after giving Tennessee a good fight, and finally the Colts cap it off at 32, with them also suffering a shutout to Jaguars.
Whew. Definitely Week Seven was very interesting. Couple of things we saw: Carson Wentz slowly getting respect across the league. Also, many teams are getting better, as we had 3 shutouts in one week alone. Pretty impressive, considering all of the teams doing them had a maximum of a 7-9 record -- they didn't even make the PLAYOFFS. So, one thing we like: we're seeing some change, and more importantly, we're seeing some improvement.
