Week Seventeen: Games, Scores, and MVPs

Updated: Apr 12, 2018

We're SO excited for the playoffs, you don't even know. And soon enough, it is finally the last week of regular season. Though it's not as exciting -- and really, it shouldn't be due to the fact that normally playoff teams purposely rest their starters and put backups -- it is still the FINAL week. We have that close battle between the Ravens, Chiefs, Bills, and Chargers, so we'll see who will come out victorious and earn that number six spot. Our bet is that the Bills and Chargers will qualify for that, but at this point, the 2017-2018 season is too exciting to make these random assumptions. Let's get started.

Ravens MVP: Joe Flacco, QB

So, thats officially the last games, scores, and MVPs post you'll get from AnythingNFL this SEASON. Whew. So, now we know the playoff standings (FINALLY) let's go ahead and review them for each conference:

AFC:

1st Seed: New England Patriots (13-3)

2nd Seed: Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3)

3rd Seed: Jacksonville Jaguars (10-6)

4th Seed: Kansas City Chiefs (10-6)

5th Seed: Tennesse Titans (9-7)

6th Seed: Buffalo Bills (9-7)

NFC:

1st Seed: Philadelphia Eagles (13-3)

2nd Seed: Minnesota Vikings (13-3)

3rd Seed: Los Angeles Rams (11-5)

4th Seed: New Orleans Saints (11-5)

5th Seed: Carolina Panthers (11-5)

6th Seed: Atlanta Falcons (10-6)

As you can see, the NFC playoffs are a bit harder than the AFC's, but it doesn't matter at this point. With that aside, let's go over the final MVP of the week; in this case, the MVP of Week 17 goes to . . .

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals.

We know, we know. You may be asking yourselves, "Why did AnythingNFL put a player who isn't even in the playoffs?" or "Andy Dalton did not play as well as some other players I've seen this week." Well, the fact is, Dalton did amazing to win against a playoff hungry Ravens team and push their rivals off the picture. Like, if they lost, the Ravens would have that 6th seed. Anyways, Dalton had THREE touchdowns, one of which went to tight end Tyler Boyd. He also had 222 passing yards, which is an average amount. In the end, Dalton played to his finest, and his work paid off in this matchup. All we can do now, though, is wait for the playoffs.
