Week Six: Power Rankings

So, we've got two things to tell you: Week Six was amazing, and we have a new number one! The Kansas City Chiefs, after going undefeated for FIVE straight weeks, lose again to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a AFC divisional rematch. Both teams were fantastic, but the Steelers managed to hold their end of the bargain. And, as we've said, since Week Six was amazing, we've got some movers in the rankings. Let's head down to the top eight.

st Rank: Philadelphia Eagles (+1)

nd Rank: Pittsburgh Steelers (+11)

rd Rank: Kansas City Chiefs (-2)

th Rank: New England Patriots (+1)

th Rank: Los Angeles Rams (+4)

th Rank: New Orleans Saints (+5)

th Rank: Minnesota Vikings (+5)

th Rank: Seattle Seahawks (--)

Starting off the first rank through eighth rank, we've decided the Eagles deserve the new number one after beating the Panthers at THEIR home field. Steelers move up A LOT after beating the Chiefs, but we couldn't move Kansas City too down. Patriots win to the Jets, Rams pull of a win against the Jaguars, Saints drop 52 against a strong Lions offense, Vikings win against the Packers, and Seattle remains in their number eight after their bye week. Let's head to the 9th through 16th ranks.

th Rank: Carolina Panthers (-5)

th Rank: Detroit Lions (-3)

th Rank: Washington Redskins (-1)

th Rank: Atlanta Falcons (-6)

th Rank: Green Bay Packers (-10)

th Rank: Houston Texans (+5)

th Rank: Jacksonville Jaguars (--)

th Rank: Baltimore Ravens (-2)

As we look into the 9th through 16th ranks, we see some familiar teams that were in the top eight, but dropped after this week. Panthers suffer a loss AT HOME, Lions also lose, Redskins moved down after letting the 49ers score 24 points, Falcons lose to MIAMI, Packers lose their game and Aaron Rodgers, Texans win against the Browns, Jaguars stay after losing a close one to the Rams, and the Ravens drop two ranks after losing to Chicago. Tough losses for a lot of these teams right now.

th Rank: Denver Broncos (-1)

th Rank: Dallas Cowboys (--)

th Rank: Los Angeles Chargers (+4)

th Rank: Cincinnati Bengals (--)

st Rank: Buffalo Bills (--)

nd Rank: Miami Dolphins (+6)

rd Rank: Tennessee Titans (+6)

th Rank: Arizona Cardinals (+2)

The 17th through 24th ranks include many bye week teams. Broncos lose to the GIANTS, Dallas has a bye, Chargers edge the Oakland Raiders by one point, Bengals and Bills have a bye, Miami wins against the Falcons, Titans beat the Colts, and the Cardinals put up many points in a win against the Buccaneers. Not many movers in these eight ranks, but we couldn't rank the bye week teams because, you never know how they'll be next week. We'll check in once they play, and rank them from there.

th Rank: New York Jets (-8)

th Rank: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4)

th Rank: New York Giants (+4)

th Rank: Chicago Bears (+2)

th Rank: San Francisco 49ers (-2)

th Rank: Oakland Raiders (-5)

st Rank: Indianapolis Colts (-7)

nd Rank: Cleveland Browns (--)

Closing the Week Six rankings, many teams moved drastically down the bottom. Jets lose in Foxborough against the Patriots, Buccaneers cannot beat the Cardinals, Giants pull off their first win, Bears beat the Ravens, 49ers lose to the Redskins, Oakland was just clueless in a loss to Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis cannot finish their potential win against the Titans, and the Browns remain as the 32nd seed.

Well, that week was AWESOME! Probably the most exciting out of the bunch we've experienced. Lot of big movers, but lots of teams remaining in their spots (mostly bye week teams). And, the most exciting thing was the Chiefs falling into a rank other than number one. Props to the Steelers for standing up and beating a confident and momentum held Chiefs team. We'll see if the Chiefs reputation will hurt them in Week Seven.
