Hey, Week 14 is coming upon us. And it's a week in which the chatter normally rising for that Giants situation, provided star WR's Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall didn't get hurt. If not that, then it's the incredible matchups coming this weekend: Eagles at Rams, Vikings at Panthers, and Seahawks at Rams. By the way, that Steelers vs Bengals game is where all the excitement washed away. Hopefully Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier gets better. Even the Ravens, the Steelers divisional rival, tweeted out saying their "thoughts and prayers" are with Shazier. With that said, let's head into the power rankings.
st Rank: New England Patriots (+1)
nd Rank: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
rd Rank: Minnesota Vikings (--)
th Rank: Pittsburgh Steelers (--)
th Rank: Los Angeles Rams (--)
th Rank: New Orleans Saints (--)
th Rank: Jacksonville Jaguars (+1)
th Rank: Seattle Seahawks (+4)
Starting the first eight in the list, the New England Patriots regain that number one spot they have been wanting after their sweep win against Buffalo. The Eagles lose to the Seahawks but in Seattle, the Vikings beat the Falcons in Atlanta, the Steelers win against the Bengals, the Rams win against the Cardinals, the Saints sweep the Panthers, the Jaguars beat the Colts, and the Seahawks manage to grab that last seed at eight with an outstanding win against the Eagles. Let's talk about the next eight in the rankings.
th Rank: Carolina Panthers (-2)
th Rank: Los Angeles Chargers (--)
th Rank: Atlanta Falcons (-2)
th Rank: Tennessee Titans (+1)
th Rank: Baltimore Ravens (+2)
th Rank: Dallas Cowboys (+5)
th Rank: Oakland Raiders (+2)
th Rank: Washington Redskins (-5)
As we begin the next eight, we notice quite a bit of change. The Panthers get DESTROYED by the Saints, the Chargers take a win, the Falcons lose at HOME against the Vikings, the Titans win against the Texans, the Ravens win against the Detroit Lions, the Cowboys win against the Redskins, the Raiders win a close one against the Manning-less Giants, and the Redskins cap it off after we mentioned their loss to Dallas. How about getting swept by the Eagles and Dallas, but sweeping the Giants? That's the situation the Redskins are in.

th Rank: Green Bay Packers (+7)
th Rank: Detroit Lions (-4)
th Rank: New York Jets (+4)
th Rank: Buffalo Bills (-4)
st Rank: Kansas City Chiefs (-3)
nd Rank: Cincinnati Bengals (-2)
rd Rank: San Francisco 49ers (+5)
th Rank: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)
Whew. This next eight, especially that 17th spot, may seem a bit weird, but we'll explain why. The Packers move seven after a win against Tampa Bay (we did that because the Packers have the Browns next week, so they could potentially be 7-6 with Aaron Rodgers coming back). The Lions dip down after a loss to the Ravens, the Jets win against the Chiefs, the Bills lose to New England, the Chiefs lose, the Bengals also lose, the 49ers win with Jimmy Garoppolo, and, as we've said, the Buccaneers lost.
th Rank: Miami Dolphins (+6)
th Rank: Arizona Cardinals (-1)
th Rank: Indianapolis Colts (-1)
th Rank: New York Giants (-1)
th Rank: Houston Texans (-7)
th Rank: Denver Broncos (-1)
st Rank: Chicago Bears (-1)
nd Rank: Cleveland Browns (--)
Let's finish strong with the last eight. The Miami Dolphins get a win against the Broncos, but it's too late for that, the Cardinals lose to the Rams, the Colts also lose to the Jaguars, the Giants lose to the Raiders with Geno Smith, the Texans lose to the inconsistent Titans, the Broncos fell down the rankings after a loss, the Bears lose to the 49ers, and the Browns stay at 32nd with an 0-12 record. Sheesh. Can they be the second team to go 0-16 after the Lions? Hopefully not.
Yeah! We are almost done with regular season, so you know what that means . . . PLAYOFFS. The NFC and AFC 1st seeds would indeed be the Patriots and the Eagles, but the Vikings aren't far off from capturing that spot. We've got some time though, so some teams down in the 10th rank to the 17th rank could potentially push their way up to fame. Props to the Packers for staying strong even without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
